At the same time, corona test of about four thousand people is being done daily.

According to statistics, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation has so far conducted 17,58,048 RT PCR tests and 25,14,313 antigen tests during the Corona pandemic. At the same time, 2,057 people have lost their lives so far. After the decrease in corona cases, the Municipal Corporation has closed the Corona Care Centers. It has been said in the bulletin that after December 24, the Health Department once again started investigating the passengers coming from abroad. He said that 4,45,342 international passengers arrived at the airports of Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur. Of these, RT-PCR test was done for 10,178 passengers.

According to the health department, genome sequencing is a laboratory test that reads the entire genetic genome of a virus from a patient sample and detects new variants. Of these 24 RT-PCR positive patients identified so far, 15 are from Maharashtra. Before the increasing cases of corona in China, Japan and America, hardly hundreds of people used to come daily for vaccination, but now due to the fear of corona among people, more people are coming to get vaccinated.

16 percent have taken booster dose

BMC Health Department had earlier written a letter to the state government. BMC’s executive health officer Dr Mangla Gomare said, “We have asked for stock of all vaccines, especially Corbevax.” Corbevax is India’s second indigenously developed vaccine. It can be given as a booster to adults who have previously taken Covaxin or Covishield. Significantly, only 16 percent of the people eligible for booster dose in Mumbai have taken it so far. More than 90 lakh Mumbai citizens have not taken it yet.
