Kathmandu:

Cable television producers in Nepal recently reported on Thursday that cable television producers in Nepal have turned off signals for all Indian news channels except Doordarshan.

However, no official order has been issued regarding the ban.

ANI quoted Mega Max TV operator Dhruv Sharma as saying, “We have turned off the signals of Indian channels this evening.”

Former Deputy Prime Minister and spokesperson of the ruling Communist Party of Nepal Narayan Kaji Shrestha said, “The baseless propaganda of the Indian media against the Government of Nepal and our Prime Minister must be stopped.” “They’ve crossed all the boundaries. It’s happening a lot. Stop talking nonsense.”

Bishnu Ramal, Chief Adviser to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, said, “The comments made by the Indian media against Nepal and the Prime Minister in the news are very offensive.”
