Action will be taken against 14 people who take social security allowance by increasing the date of birth

Kathmandu. In Baitadi, it has been revealed that the social security allowance is being taken by increasing the date of birth in the citizenship certificate. Fourteen people have been found to be getting the allowance by correcting the date of birth in the citizenship itself. They will face action and fines.

The revelation came on the basis of a complaint lodged at the district administration office stating that he had received social security allowance.

In addition to this, it has been revealed that the work of collecting national identity card details is being done in Vadastar and the old age allowance is being taken under the social security allowance after it was found that the citizenship was forged while giving the details.

Citizenship of 13 of Dilashani village municipality and one of Dogadakedar village municipality of the district has been found to have been forged.

Information Officer at the District Administration Office, Khagendra Bharti, said that further investigation was carried out after it was found that some of them were found to be corroded when they reached the District Administration Office to make a copy.

“Investigations are also underway on the basis of the complaints received at the office,” he said.

Bharti informed that some people have been receiving allowances since 2052 BS and some since 2076 BS by correcting their date of birth. He said, “It has been found that the old age allowance has been paid at least 3 years and at most 27 years ago by correcting the date of citizenship.”

Bharti said that those who get the allowance by increasing the date of birth will be charged double the amount taken so far. It has been stated that further action will be taken under the Citizenship Act if the citizenship is found to be forged.

Thus, the list of those who have obtained citizenship has not been made public. According to the District Administration Office, Baitadi, they will be taken under control and fined.
