Farmers say that due to frost, the development of pea and tomato crop has stopped. Due to this, there will be a huge decline in the yield of tomato crop.

Only wheat crop is benefited
Experts say that the benefit of more winter is usually for the wheat crop only. Wheat crop develops rapidly in this season. On the other hand, if winter is normal then it proves beneficial for everyone including mustard, peas, tomatoes, potatoes. There is a bumper yield in this season. But when there is more frost then vegetable and horticulture crops suffer more damage.

Farmers should protect like this
Low tunnel, shade net, reeds can be used to protect the crops from frost. Light irrigation should be given to crops and vegetables. Smoke at night on the north-west side of the field. Spray concentrated sulfuric acid 0.1 percent i.e. 1 ml in 1 liter of water, apart from this, make a solution of soluble sulfur 0.2 percent in 2 grams per liter of water or thiourea 500 ppm in 0.5 grams per liter of water. If the frost is for a long time, spraying should be done every 15 days.
