Bengaluru Man Throws Money Viral Video and Police Action: Police has taken action against a person who threw notes (rupees) from a flyover on Tuesday (January 24) in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The person has said that he will tell the reason for throwing the note later. He has sought time to explain the reason. The police have registered a case against the man on charges of public nuisance.
The thirty-year-old man has been identified as Arun, who runs an event firm. Police say that the person had thrown notes from the flyover for publicity.
The crowd had gathered to grab the notes
According to reports, Arun threw currency notes from the top of a flyover adjacent to a major wholesale market (KR Market) in Bengaluru on Tuesday morning, while doing so he made videos and later shared them on social media. At the same time, people gathered below to catch the notes, due to which the road was jammed and traffic was affected.
According to the police, the man was seen in the video posing as an event manager, who was doing so for publicity. According to reports, Arun came on the flyover on a bike and took out bundles of Rs 10 notes from his bag and threw them down.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Laxman Nimbargi gave this information
Bengaluru West Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Laxman Nimbargi told the media, “As he is an anchor and event manager, during interrogation we found that he did this for promotion and publicity. He along with his friend Satish reached the flyover this morning and threw the money. He chose this place because it was a crowded place. He also shared videos on Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.
While sharing the video from his handle, the DCP also informed that a case has been registered regarding these two incidents. City Market Police Station and Cottonpet Police Station have taken appropriate action under the law.

What did the person who threw the note say?
According to media reports, the accused said that he had a reason to do so but will tell the reason later. Arun, who faces charges of public nuisance, said, “I apologize for the traffic jam but my intentions are right.” Give me some time.. I will tell why I did this.
The maximum fine in the sections in which the case was registered is Rs 200.
Taking suo motu cognizance, the City Market Police took action against Arun after the video of the incident surfaced on social media. A case was registered against the accused under sections 283 (causing danger or obstruction to public way or line of navigation) and 290 (causing public nuisance) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Along with this, Section 92(D) of the Karnataka Police Act (certain road offenses and nuisance) was also added to the registered case. Explain that in the first two provisions, a fine of Rs 200 has to be paid as punishment and in the third provision a maximum fine of Rs 100 is imposed.
