Bomb blast in Pakistan's southwestern province of Balochistan, passenger train derailed

Balochistan Bomb Blast: A local official said that there was a bomb blast on Friday (January 20) in Pakistan’s southwestern province of Balochistan. Eight coaches including the engine of a passenger train derailed due to the bomb blast. Eight people have been injured because of this. Deputy Commissioner Agha Samiullah said that Jafar Express came under the attack in Peshi area of Bolan district. He said that due to the spot being in the hilly area, the rescue team is facing difficulties.

After the train accident, the injured people have been admitted to the nearby hospital. After its bomb blast, emergency has been declared in all the nearby hospitals. Deputy Commissioner Agha Samiullah told local media that the bomb blast was a kind of remote-controlled blast, due to which the bogies of the train derailed.

The police has not issued any official statement regarding the train bomb blast. Earlier, on December 25 last year, 6 security personnel were killed and 17 people were seriously injured in terrorist incidents in Balochistan. The Military Media Wing had informed that in the previous attack, Captain Fahad, Lance Naik Imtiaz and constables Asghar, Mehran and Shamun were killed in the blast.
