Nepali Congress’ Sirjana Singh has taken the lead in the preliminary vote count of Kathmandu Metropolitan City. Out of 125 votes counted so far, Congress mayoral candidate Singh has got 36 votes. Balen Shah is in second place with 31 votes
Similarly, UML’s Keshav Sthapit got 20 votes. One hundred votes have been counted so far in Ward No. 1 and 25 votes in Ward No. 32. According to the Election Office, Singh got 29 votes, Shah got 20 votes and Sthapit got 16 votes out of 100 votes counted in Ward No. 1.
Out of 25 votes cast in Ward No. 32, Shah got 11 votes, Sirjana Singh got 7 votes and Sthapit got 4 votes. Similarly, Madandas Shrestha of Rastriya Prajatantra Party got 3 votes. A total of 190,170 votes have been cast in the metropolis with 3242 votes
