BRS Leader K Kavitha Interrogated By ED: Kavita, a member of the Legislative Council of the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in Telangana, was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for nearly 10 hours on Tuesday (March 21) for the third day. Kavita, daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, reached the ED office at around 11:30 am from her father’s official Tughlaq Road residence and left at 9:40 pm.

She appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning in the money laundering case related to the Delhi Excise Policy. Before entering the office of the Enforcement Directorate in New Delhi, she showed some mobile phones kept in plastic and said that she was going to submit them to the ED.

ED accused of poetry

Accusing the ED of making insinuations against her, Kavita said she is submitting the phone calls to dispel any misconceptions that the agency is allegedly trying to create. He said in a letter to the investigating officer of the case that the “deliberate leaking of false allegations” to the public has fueled a political tussle in which his political opponents are making a barrage of allegations. Kavita said that in such a situation, she is being accused of destroying the so-called evidence, a lot of damage is being done to her reputation and efforts are being made to defame her and her party.

‘It is unfortunate that a premier agency like the Enforcement Directorate…’

Kavita said, “It is unfortunate that a premier agency like the Enforcement Directorate is indulging in these acts and harming its sacred duty of fair and independent investigation at the cost of vested political interests.”
