According to the police, Umesh Yadav wanted to buy land in Nagpur, he told Shailesh Thackeray about it, after which Shailesh Thackeray saw a plot in a barren area and told Umesh Yadav that he would get it for Rs 44 lakh.

According to the police officer, Shailesh Thackeray also refused to return this amount to Umesh Yadav. After which the Indian fast bowler has lodged an FIR in Koradi, in which a case has been registered under sections 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code. However, till the time of writing the news, the arrest of the accused Shailesh Thackeray has not been done.
