Hajj Yatra: After the Corona period, this time the Haj pilgrimage will be seen in its old form. This year the number of Haj pilgrims can reach around 20 lakhs. For which preparations are being completed. This information was given by Saudi Arabia’s Hajj and Umrah Minister Dr. Taufiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah during a press conference.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, Al-Rabia has started work to provide better facilities at the holy sites. Along with this, the government’s focus is on the country’s development projects and infrastructure. Significantly, the rules of the Haj pilgrimage, which started again after Kovid, have changed slightly. Along with this, changes will also be seen in the facilities.

According to a Khaleej Times report, the facilities available during the Haj pilgrimage also include the Haramain Express train, which connects Mecca and Medina through a two-hour journey. Earlier this month, Saudi Arabia announced that after three years of restrictions, there would be no limit on the number of Haj pilgrims this year. It was also said that providing good arrangements to the Haj pilgrims is our priority.

Travel will happen without covid restrictions
For the last two years, Corona was wreaking havoc on the whole world, the effect of which was also seen on the Haj pilgrimage. Due to Kovid, there was a huge decrease in the number of pilgrims going for Haj pilgrimage. In view of the infection, many restrictions were imposed. Saudi Arabia had also reduced the quota of passengers for countries all over the world. But this year i.e. in 2023, travel can be done without any restrictions. In this episode, Saudi Arabia has increased the quota of Indian passengers from 1.75 lakh to two lakh now.

Earlier, the Government of India has decided to end the VIP culture in Haj. The central government has now completely abolished the VIP culture in the Haj pilgrimage. Because of this, now almost all the VIP quota seats allotted to the Prime Minister, President, Vice President, Minority Minister of India as well as the Haj Committee have been exhausted. After which all will participate in Haj like common pilgrims.
