Rajbiraj: An Indian national has been arrested for smuggling four kilograms of silver jewelery around his waist. According to the Armed Police Force, 22-year-old Vashisht Chaudhary of Khutuna Gram Panchayat-11 Kamat Tol of Madhubani district has been arrested from the Nepal-India border area at Bode Bersain Municipality-9, Itabhatta of Saptari.
According to Superintendent of Armed Police Force Pradip Khadka of the Armed Police Force Battalion No. 6, 28 heavy paujus have been recovered from the infantry patrol team. Chaudhary was arrested by a foot patrol team of the Armed Police Force Nepal Border Outpost. The value of the silver jewelery weighing 4 kg recovered from Chaudhary is said to be Rs 4,38,957.
The Armed Police have handed over the seized illegal jewelery and arrested Chaudhary to the Rajbiraj Customs Office in Belhi, Tilathi for necessary action.
