Now Khalistani supporters created a ruckus in the Vaisakhi program of the Indian community in Adelaide. This program was organized by an organization named ‘Punjab Australian Association of South Australia Inc’ in Adelaide. Indian Consulate official Manish Gupta was the chief guest at the event.

Khalistani supporters started creating ruckus outside the venue even before the program started. According to Australian media reports, Khalistani supporters have allegedly harassed a Hindu-Sikh couple from Australia for organizing a Vaisakhi event.

Harmeet Kaur and Rajesh Thakur alleged that they were assaulted and ransacked by Khalsa Aid for conducting this programme. Khalistani supporters have also given threats on social media. Earlier, in the month of March last, Khalistani supporters in Brisbane, Australia had forcibly closed the Indian Consulate. At the same time, in the month of January, anti-India slogans were written on the walls of the iconic ISKCON temple in Melbourne.

Apart from this, there were clashes between Khalistani activists and pro-India protesters at two places in January. In connection with which the Victoria Police arrested three more people on Thursday (March 30). Many people were also injured during these clashes. According to a Victoria Police statement, clashes broke out between Khalistani activists and pro-India protesters during the so-called ‘Punjab independence referendum’ on January 29 in Melbourne.
