The Senate of Pakistan said on Twitter that the offices of the National Assembly and the Senate Secretariat have been closed for three days due to a short circuit in the Parliament House building. Meanwhile, Senate President Sadiq Sanjrani and National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf have ordered immediate precautionary measures, while concerned secretaries have been instructed to take steps to address the issue.

Meetings canceled from January 23 to January 26
Along with this, it has been said in the notification that the President of the Senate has canceled all the meetings to be held from 4 pm on January 23, 2023 to 11 am on January 26, 2023. Regarding this issue, the National Assembly said in a tweet, “There was a short circuit in Parliament on Sunday. Thank God, no major damage has been caused by it. All offices will remain closed till January 26 for repair work.”
