Pankaj Mishra said on Saturday that he is probing the matter and necessary action will be taken in case of discrepancies. At the same time, the in-charge headmaster of the school, Jayaprakash Yadav told that the incident happened on Friday. He said, “The students locked the teachers in a room and were released after assuring them of action in the matter.”

Education officer Pankaj Mishra said that a video of the Durjanpur school incident surfaced on social media on Friday, in which all the teachers, including the headmaster, were allegedly locked in a school room by the students. In the video, a class VIII student can be heard saying that during the Corona period, no student has received money in exchange for the mid-day meal. Information about this matter was given to the headmaster several times, but no action was taken.
Headmaster Yadav can also be heard in the video, where all the teachers were locked in the room because the money was not deposited in the bank accounts of the parents of the children.
