Bharat Biotech will launch its Nasal Kovid-19 vaccine iNCOVACC on 26 January. Company’s executive chairman Krishna Ella gave information about this in a program on Saturday.
Speaking at the ongoing India International Science Festival at the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology in Bhopal, Ella said, “Our nasal vaccine will be officially launched on January 26, Republic Day.” Along with this, Ella also told that an indigenous vaccine Lumpy Provakind can also be launched by next month for a skin disease called Lumpy spread among animals in the country.

At the same time, the Government of India had approved the company’s nasal vaccine on 23 December 2022. Then the company had said that the vaccine would be launched in the last week of January 2023. The company has also given information about the prices of the nasal vaccine. The cost of the nasal vaccine has been kept at Rs 325 per dose for large purchases by the central and state governments, while the vaccine will be available at Rs 800 in private vaccination centres.
Who can get vaccinated?
Primary vaccination of most of the country’s population has been done, in such a situation, people above 18 years of age will also be able to take this vaccine, who have already taken the dose. The vaccine will be introduced as a booster dose. It will be given twice at an interval of 28 days.
