PIB Fact Check: In today’s era of modernity, our farmers are also turning towards advanced technology and machinery. These not only save time and labor in farming, it is also easy to get better production. If we talk about all-in-one agricultural machinery, then the name of tractor comes first. This has made the work of preparing the field, sowing, harvesting and transporting the produce to the mandis very easy. Tractor companies have launched tractors of every budget in the market, so that now even small farmers can buy them easily. From time to time, state governments give grants to farmers to reduce the cost of purchasing tractors.
Loans are also available from NABARD Bank and other financial institutions, but these days the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Tractor Scheme remains in a lot of discussions. It is claimed that under this scheme, about 50% subsidy is given to the farmers on the purchase of tractors, whereas the actual reality is something else.
According to the report of PIB Fact Check, the Central Government has not run any scheme like PM Kisan Tractor Scheme. If you also see the notification or any link of such a scheme, do not click on it at all. By doing this, you can also become a victim of fraud in the matter of getting subsidy on tractor, so be careful.
Government does not give 50% subsidy
State governments are running several schemes at their respective levels for the purchase of tractors. Recently, the Haryana government had also launched a scheme to provide tractors to the farmers of the state at half the price, for which the Haryana government itself had issued notifications, but in many media reports on the lines of this scheme, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Tractor Scheme Under 50% subsidy claims are being made.
These claims are becoming increasingly viral on social media. Not only this, the eligibility, application form and link to buy the tractor have also been given in these fake advertisements, while the Government of India has not run any such scheme. This matter has been denied many times, so this scheme is completely fake, which should be avoided by the farmer brothers.
